Come join us on a fantastic blog hop that brings together bloggers of all genres, backgrounds and locations.
My world rotates around me. I am the center or the nucleus of my world. So, it is important that I value myself. I love, respect and accept myself.
"You must love yourself before you love another. By accepting yourself and fully being what you are, your simple presence can make others happy."
My family defines me – Who I am? My kids define the mother I am, my husband defines the wife I am, my parents define the daughter I am…and so on. Each relationship defines a facet of me and all these facets together make me whole – the person I am. And, I learn something from each relationship....and importantly I cherish the love showered to me by others.
"A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he/she knows that you are slightly cracked." Bernard Meltzer
My friends are a constant in my live. They may change individually but our equations with each other do not change. I am blessed to have formed some lasting friendships. I do not have ‘a’ best friend, I have best friends…..they are my support system, my reality check.
I also treasure my books. I am possessive about them. They are inspiration and my solace.
My memories, my experiences, my trials and triumphs, my faith and beliefs………these are all a part of me, which make me and so I treasure them.
"The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart." Marrie Williamson

ReplyDeleteHi, every hop stop seems to provide another new treasure! I think the idea of treasuring oneself is extremely important but one we often overlook.

ReplyDeleteLovely blog and very true
ReplyDeleteSome days I get so overwhelmed by the broader world of pressures and stressors that I forget that I am the center of my children's small world. Thank you for reminding me that I need to fight harder to make it a calm, not tumultuous one. :)
ReplyDeletewithout a housewife there would be no house, without a homemaker, no home...
