A YEAR IN A JIFFY!

Harbouring a dream and doing nothing about it, that’s how I was till the previous year. I was filled with self-doubt though I longed to write articles and blogs. One fine day, I just let go of my self-imposed inhibition and wrote an article which I later posted on my blog last year, this day. I haven’t looked back since.

All those words I had held back, all those feelings and expression I had withheld, just tumbled out. I found a new meaning and purpose in my life. Writing colored my life, gave wings to my thoughts and I just flew with my words. I discovered myself!
My aim being to write, I really did not think it necessary to keep track of how many followers I have, how many page views I have received, or how many comments I received. But, I must say there are quite a few readers who really love my writing and I am proud of the fact that I am able to reach out to them, make them feel all those feelings which my words weave.

I take this opportunity to thank the administrators of various blogs group, for which I was made a member.

First, Blogplicity – Corinne and Bonnie, thanks for believing in me and my writing and making me a part of this esteemed group. Corinne – you have a heart of gold and Bonnie- hats off for the fighter you are.

Second, BlogNostics – Jess and Alex, thanks for the patronage and the platform to showcase my talents.

Third, Bloggers Reflections – Alpana, thanks from the bottom of my heart for introducing me to the wonderful group of bloggers.

Thanking each and every member of these three groups…you guys are amazing, non-judgemental and always appreciative.

Thanking my family for the support and encouragement and also for putting up with my lapses in conversation, as I am always in my own world.

Thanking my friends who have been in my life for a long, long time now…almost a family.

This week saw me receiving three awards –

One, from the Romantic Friday Writers – The Encouragement award.

Two, from the Blue Bell Books – Short story slam week 18 writing challenge achievement award.

Third, the most precious of all, from Andy David -

 My blogoversary could not get more better. Am loving this!

DON’T TAKE MY PATIENCE FOR GRANTED.

Do you shed a tear,
When a tree is cut?
Do you light a candle,
When oil spill kills the duck?
Do you place a wreath,
When the dynamite blasts the rocks?
Can you hear HER pleas?
Have we stopped raping HER,
In spite of the awareness?
How can you mourn the loss
Of a human life…
When you can’t mourn the loss
Of your abode?
SHE can take no more,
SHE rebels and protests,
As SHE is the nature
And the balance;
A creator and a destroyer;
SHE is not mute…
SHE plans and SHE schemes
And takes HER revenge
When you least expect it!!
