THE PLACE I LOVE TO BE.

There’s no place
More warmer,
More cosy and calmer,
More secure
Than the womb.
I yearn for it
When I’m under the weather
When I have nowhere to go
Nowhere to hide or run
No one to turn to...
I curl up on my bed
And think of you, mom!

  1. What a beautiful tribute to your mother. I so miss my mom. She was so special to me and I only hope to give my daughter a tenth of what my mother gave me :)

  3. Welcome back..and with such a beautiful post. A Mother;s love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible.
And there is no age factor,u miss her and need her all along your life..today,I would have had no house,no shelter,no one whatsoever,if my mom wasn't around.

  6. Hello Janu.
Your words resonate with so many of us.
My mom has been both parents to me ever since my dad died when I was a young teenager. Mom lives overseas & I don't get to see her as often as I'd like, but I speak with her on the phone everyday. To hear her voice, her laughter, the little things she says...I store them all up in my memory & in my heart so I can recall them when I need to feel her near me.
Sending you lots of love & hugs. Wishing you well dearest Janu.
    Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Andy,
Me and my mom, we stayed in different cities, but got to see each other often. She used to write letters everyday initially and there would not be a space left on the paper...filling me with details so that I don't miss out on anything....all good things do come to an end...but, that is life. I am Blessed to have a mom like her.
