WHEN YOU.....

Did you notice the change?
When you whisper my name!
Bird song merrier
Sun - Brighter
With a hint of red
As if he blushed!
Flowers bloom
With pride and
A hint of smile
Dancing to a silent tune.
I am the bird,
Sun and flowers....
I am the element
When you whisper my name!

CAPTAIN KIRK , SPOCK AND THE LIKES.

All of us locked up
In the room
Giving wings to out
Fancy
While one was the
Puppeteer
We three her puppets!
The guys were saviours
And me the damsel
In the distress!
Star Trek inspired stories
The galaxy our playground,
We could do just about
ANYTHING
Put Superman to shame
Touch the Sun
Change the course of the Planets
Kick the aliens on their ass
Yes, we were the
Masters of the Game!!

AREN'T WE PUPPETS?

All the preparation
Means nothing
When HE decides to
Pull the string!

We wished her - Death!
The only end to her suffering
Had fought together
A losing battle
With fate.

Might have read
The ready reckoner
Or the art of letting go
Knowledge seldom
Prepares you for
What's in store.

"Pulling the plug"
A tempting option to
 End her suffering,
We just prolong her suffering.
A life is not enough
To comprehend death
It overwhelms you
Knocks you and tears your apart
To see a loved one depart.

50 SHADES OF GREY

Some days
Of our lives
Are dark and gloomy
Like monsoon clouds
Pregnant, threatening
to pour. Bleak.

And there are days
With sunny side up
Bright and perfect
With a spring in
Each of our step.

Occasional rainbow
Splashing colour
Breaking the pattern
The mood elevates
A reason to celebrate.

But, more often than not
Mundane and routine
Is the rule of our lives
Where, everyday is a
50 shades of grey!

50 Shades of Grey is a novel by British Author E.L.James.

CONNECTED.

The chill nips my bare feet
Making me shiver
I curl them under me,
The hot tea cup
Warming my hands and my heart
Driving away the residual sleep
And I stare
Without paying attention
The birds chirpping
Sharing their morning news
Talking at one
Wanting to be heard
Over their early breakfast....
A meditative moment
When I feel connected
with them
Birds, tree, breeze and
The breaking dawn.

CHOOSE - SELF!!

The plug is pulled
Taking away the light
From the eyes.
Groping in the dark
Feeling the walls
Frantic
Beads of sweat
Cling like dews
Breathing...
Labored and shallow
As you search for the light,
A ray, a hope.
But, a trip and a fall
Sobs of pain
Panic clouds the mind
Gripped in fear
And so on your own-
CHOOSE...
Stay there...only for sometime
Have a good cry
Feel it
Cast away the excess baggage
Shrug the load off
Remove the imaginary binders
Life isn't a bed of roses
HE has a plan
No need to make it worse
All you have is
YOU.
