CONNECTED.

The chill nips my bare feet
Making me shiver
I curl them under me,
The hot tea cup
Warming my hands and my heart
Driving away the residual sleep
And I stare
Without paying attention
The birds chirpping
Sharing their morning news
Talking at one
Wanting to be heard
Over their early breakfast....
A meditative moment
When I feel connected
with them
Birds, tree, breeze and
The breaking dawn.

  9. When I saw the title, I connected on various levels: Janu is connected to the loop of writing and commenting after a break.
The reader is again connected to Janu's posts after a break.

I am reading this post when the afternoon is slowly giving way to the evening and you made me wonder about today morning and brought a smile that followed the thought. Early mornings are beautiful: cool, quiet, birds and new beginnings which set the rhythm for the day :)

    Lovely post to come back.

    Joy always,
    Susan
