This was good. Her life and the comfort she had.
Happy to be in her own space. Two kids to look after.
She found bliss in her routine. Her life, predictable. But, she was dreamer. How can anybody be stopped from dreaming? Dreams meant change, to get out of the comfort zone to make it happen. She feared change.
Yet, there were times when she heard it - a tiny voice from within. She pretended not to hear it; many a times deliberately silencing it. It refused to go away or be silenced. Kept on playing with her mind. Suddenly, one day it breaks free from the confines of her heart and spews into her blood stream, her whole being pulsating with courage, a feeling she did not know existed before in her.
Her outlook towards the world changed. She had evolved and blossomed. She now realized the walls she had erected for herself...the boundaries she had created, the shackles that she had bound herself with.
Now, confident and energetic she forged ahead. Discovering a new 'self' was an adventure. Boundaries melted and her eyes were on the horizon.

Lovely ! Very resonant of the inner struggles all of us go through.. nice job!
ReplyDeletethis is familiar....there was a time i heard that voice...and it took me a year to really trust it...or believe it enough to make that move...
ReplyDeleteLovely Janaki...that's a familiar turf.

Your passion often takes you to heights you never imagined you could achieve. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI wish all of us would break free of the shackles and walls we have built for ourselves :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, realisation to brek all the shackles, life begins at the end of comfort zone, loved the message, crisp and precise.
ReplyDeleteThe vicious cycle of comfort zone is what kills a lot of passion for life. We dont want to "risk" what we own and often miss out on things we could have owned.

Beautifully expressed! The trap of the comfort zones is difficult to break but when it is broken it is only exhilaration and jubilance on experiencing a new world! :)
ReplyDeleteComing out of comfy zones is so tough but worth it no !?
ReplyDeleteI guess I should try developing such attitude and be courageous to do so :)
