VEIL.

I let my guard down,
I trusted too soon,
Went with the flow
Got swept in the current
I came out clean - glowing
I was me, myself with him
No inhibitions
Or restrictions,
Every moment memorable
Made precious by his touch
Celebrating each other
With friendship and love
Flying higher together,
He made me feel
A woman I was...
Drawing me out,
Daring me
Surprising myself
And laughing at it.
We grew into each other
Inseparable.
One day, he left promising
To be back
As he walked
He took off his mask
Walking away
Without glancing back!.

then took the mask off and left...perhaps he got what he wanted
and that is a sad prospect...
