He is COLD.

He wraps his arms
Around me,
Sending chills
Through my core
His whispers though
Warming,
Gives me goose bumps
All over
He walks like a breeze
Blowing my hair about
His touch on my
Tender skin,
Makes me go numb.
His kisses
Turns my lips blue
Sucking them dry.
I hurriedly close the
Windows and the drapes
He laughs and mocks me
It tingles my toes…
I snuggle up in the bed
Pulling the blanket over
Warming myself
Feeling content…
Hibernate is all I
Want to do in the cold.

GOING NUTS

Save for a visit to the doctor, for my stitches removal, I have been holed up at home. Not by choice of course. It has been 20 days now, since I ventured out. Being a very physically active person, this is irritating.

I cannot sit for long as this swells up my foot and then again I can’t sleep for long too…sleeping in the same position makes my back ache. To top this all, due to all the inactivity, I am putting on weight…at the wrong places too, which is bad for me. To balance myself on one good foot and hop around, I can’t afford to be weighty. And, as it is I am throwing my weight around.

Being a cleanliness freak (read OCD) I like things to be done my way. My family is always helpful, but, am I ever satisfied? I really don’t know how to sit back and chill. So, I am hopping around the house with my walker making ‘clack’ ‘clack’ sound and setting things right, even if this stresses my good foot a lot.

If I am not ordering people around then I am on my laptop browsing, reading blogs, writing and then that has a limit too.

Then, I have my kittens and I let them inside the house and play with them for some time…they are a great stress buster.

When in hospital, I had lot of people visiting me, but, I was in pain and could not welcome their company. Now, I yearn for them.

As per doctor’s protocol I can’t put pressure of my right foot for another 15 days. Then the partial weight bearing starts. So, it will be another month at the earliest until I will be ready to walk again…till then I can’t help but ‘go nuts’ and also drive people crazy.

KALEIDOSCOPIC LOVE…

Never a dull moment
The mind races
Conjuring images
That may or may not be.
Painting my world
With vivid colours
Taking flight in fantasy
Smiling at myself
And then feeling silly.
Frowning at something
Lost in a world of thoughts
Looking at myself in
The mirror for umpteen times
Caught in this web of –
“kaleidoscopic love.”

NIGHT AFTER NIGHT.

Dark, narrow, eerie alley ways

Some lives come alive…
Wretched, born this way
Know nothing else
Living in the now
Surviving a day at a time,
Distressed, desperate
For love…buying it
The only way they know.
Selling- what was once sacred
Now an instrument of
Making money
Gratification for some
Love for sale!!

AM GRATEFUL.

Grateful for this life,
The comforts and
The luxuries;
Trials n triumphs;
Love n friendship;
Loss n hardship;
The roller coaster rides
Yes! I am blessed.

IN MY DEPTHS…

In my silence, I can hear the sound of my heart.

The subtle whispers of my soul, my dreams talking to me,
egging me on.

In silence, my feelings speak to me.

In silent happiness, I find music within, the songs you sang to me.

In silence I hear the sounds of the waves which I love to watch, to get drowned in the immense vastness of the sea.

In silence, I can hear the birds chirping, singing their morning song, welcoming a beautiful day.

In silence, I travel back in time and munch on the memories.

In silence, I celebrate the miracles of life.

In silence, I cry, I bleed to my pains, the loss and the hurts.

In silence, I contemplate and move on.

In silence, I pray.

I am guilty of all these and much more, as I drift off into my depths during a conversation.

Should I need to prove my innocence, for being me?

CALLING ME NAMES.

They call me a ‘fool’
Some say am ‘crazy’
Others opine that
Am plain ‘careless’
It is their love and
Concern that speaks.
But, what about me?
Dreams and dreamers
Cannot be tamed....
Have heard it somewhere
How can I explain the fire?
The passion that
Ignites and burns bright?
The feelings that just
Don’t leave me
But, are reinforced
By the minute?
Explanations are such a waste
Follow your heart
And be the BEST!

CHARLIE CHARMING.

The Tramp who made us keep
The Kid alive,
Blending pathos cleverly with
Slapstick and humour,
Leaving us speechless and awed!
He said so much
Without saying at all!
Thou’ leading A Dog’s Life (in his movies)
He romanced Woman of Paris
In the Modern Times as these
A King in New York was he...
Constantly in Limelight,
He was indeed A Great Dictator
Of the beautiful silent era.
