He is COLD.

He wraps his arms
Around me,
Sending chills
Through my core
His whispers though
Warming,
Gives me goose bumps
All over
He walks like a breeze
Blowing my hair about
His touch on my
Tender skin,
Makes me go numb.
His kisses
Turns my lips blue
Sucking them dry.
I hurriedly close the
Windows and the drapes
He laughs and mocks me
It tingles my toes…
I snuggle up in the bed
Pulling the blanket over
Warming myself
Feeling content…
Hibernate is all I
Want to do in the cold.

  2. For a moment I thought it was some sick guy bothering you Janaki. LOL! But it was the weather! What an apt personification.

  3. He as the object of poetry is most romantic and lovely :)

  4. And I thought it was a guy with a cold exterior, attractive to some women! :) But what do I know? The personification of winter as a lover is perhaps a wonderfully ironic way of looking at human attraction.

  5. That was a lovely poem, until the last few lines...was quite sensuous...making the reader look forward to whats happening next..but the sudden change has been beautifully depicted :)
