NIGHT AFTER NIGHT.

Dark, narrow, eerie alley ways

Some lives come alive…
Wretched, born this way
Know nothing else
Living in the now
Surviving a day at a time,
Distressed, desperate
For love…buying it
The only way they know.
Selling- what was once sacred
Now an instrument of
Making money
Gratification for some
Love for sale!!

Short story slam week 2o, Love In Creativity Project.

  1. Hello Janu. How are you feeling?
You paint quite the vivid picture with this one.
Sad, but an all too painful & familiar reality for some.
    Nicely done!
Thanks for sharing & visiting. Always nice hearing from you (smile).

  3. It is a harsh truth. You never know under what circumstances one lands up in this trade.

  4. Oh! Only a highly sensitive mind like yours can draw this startling vignette!

  5. It makes me cry when I read this, these are someone's daughters, someone's sons, a life selling their life to stay alive. Ironic really but so so sad and beautifully portrayed.

  8. How sad that our bodies, something we should respect and should share only with the one we love, can be mistreated in such a horrible way. The shame of it all is that it's not just the body that's affected; the mind, body and emotions are affected and not just for a little while, but for years afterward. I've seen this with some of the people I've worked with. It's quite a sad thing. Well done. Be blessed.
