Sucked into the depths of the labyrinth,
Engulfed in the darkness,
Loneliness spreads its tentacles
Reaching the core of the soul.
Vacuumed in this emptiness
Trapped and crying to break free
Pain numbing the senses…
A will is all she needs
To see the light of the day.

you wrote that well. I have been there, this is just how it feels.
ReplyDelete:-( thanks for the visit Jan.
DeleteOh how many times we go to that dark lonely place and it seems we will never find out way out. But then, somehow we do, and the darkness is forgotten for a season, life is good again... until we return to the labyrinth once again.
ReplyDeleteThis was dark and lovely, stirring some memories for me. Beautifully written my sweet poet.
Thank you so much Leah...hope you don't have to go there again.

DeleteThe picture compliments the poem so well, that perhaps the meaning of your poem would not have struck home without the picture. The poem is impressive, and expresses loneliness in all its depths exactly the way it is felt. :)
