FIGMENT.

I looked up at the sky
Moon shone bright and white
I wanted to have it, thought I
What was I thinking?
That I could throw a tantrum
And have whatever I want?

Then I looked at the stars,
They flickered like lamps,
I could make patterns
By joining the dots.
I stretched my hands..
Wasn't I a fool to do that?

Earth can't meet the sky
Everything have been placed right
Some things aren't meant to be
One can have flights of fancy
Separate real from fantasy
Cos' horizon is just an illusion.

  4. The Greeks and Romans have already made some for us to navigate by and to enjoy our imaginations with. I don't see why you can't do it as well.

  6. My lovely Janu,
It's only in our dreams and fantasies that we can have everything we desire. Wonderful poetry/imagery.

  7. This was beautiful and at the same time, I felt a little sadness to it. It's hard to diffuse illusion, yet we must all face reality. I really enjoyed this.
