I BELIEVE…(About child sex slavery)
I was found in a gutter,
Cos’ they don’t need no girls,
I was sold and resold
Till I landed in this hell hole.
I die every day, many times
I’ve lost the count
Beaten, bruised and compromised
Times I don’t wanna recount.
The well has dried up
So have my eyes
Cannot tell the difference
Between stone and I.
A faint whisper from the heart
To break free and live my part
I did dare to run away
Fought to keep the wolves at bay.
I live a LIFE now,
Carefree and strong
Believe in yourself
Cos’ you are never wrong.

This really broke my heart but rough a sigh when I cam to the end...

What a wonderful poem. So true and heartfelt. Thank you for this.
ReplyDeleteI am crushed. I know the ending is hopeful but the truth of the situation day in and day out makes it so hard. A wonderful poem. Touching and hope full! Thank you Janu. You are a blessing as well as courageous for bringing it up. Not a good subject in any form. :) Big hugs!
ReplyDeleteSo sad and touching, Rumi, but I love the ray of hope at the end! I pray for all the abandoned and abused children in this world . . .
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
