“In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.”

VEILED VISION.
"We see what we want to see" And, I see good in people True, we are all guarded, Build our own walls Wear masks Yet, I cannot see through Their facade, Call me naive or blind... What have I got to lose? Does TRUST mean a lot? For - dVerse Poetry Jam
This is beautiful! Perhaps naive and trusting, but how do we grow if not to take chances...offer love, and receive it in unexpected ways. A hopeful verse.
Trust is something many people struggle with. Perhaps the veil is an advantage so we give trust a chance more often. Thanks for taking on this challenge.
I always want to see the good in people but as I've aged, I believe I've trusted way too much too often, now, I think trust didn't ought to be given so freely, I think it is something which needs to be earned/won. Most of us wear different facades to suit the occasion too. Well said Janu
My dear Poetess, Very powerful words of truth today!! As much as we want to see good or trust in someone's eyes, its really the heart that becomes deceptive. We still have to take our chances and trust someone though. You already know my heart (smile).
Trust means so much, but unfortunately some people prove themselves unworthy of that trust and can wound us deeply. Still a great aspiration for living. Wonderfully written!

ReplyDeleteWell said Janu
I kind of trust my gut feelings in regard to people....after a while you can KIND of tell; but this is not to say that I haven't been burned!
ReplyDeleteI always look for the good in everyone, but have sometimes placed my trust in the wrong people. Such a wonderful reminder, Janu!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Trust means everything. It used to be that people made contracts with only their word as proof. Sad we have come too long a way from that.

I always try and see the good in people. Many tell me to be careful but who cares. I am happy the way I am. Very well expressed.
