He is a gentleman
Or so she thought.
He has the decency
To knock and enter...
No, sir! He barged right in
As if he owned the place.
Too shocked to protest
She let him march right in.
It is a crime to steal
Yet he did steal blatantly
Proud of his possession
A look of triumph
On his face....
Thought he was polite
Enough to ask
But, no! He parked himself
Right there and
Made it his home.
She should have been bothered
By his intrusion
As it was not her home
He had invaded...but,
Her temple, it was...
Her heart that he stole.
She let him stay
Secretly enjoying his presence
Cos' she too had
Done the same!!!

smiles..that kind of intrusion is not bad if the other person feels the same and he already won that place in her heart.. sometimes such a intrusive viking-heart-man is better than a gentleman right..smiles
ReplyDeleteTrue...thanks Claudia.
Deletesmiles....i like how you use language to set the tension as if it were a bad thing, then turns out it is rather good....smiles...

DeleteHe needs to be daring and he was! He needs to share and he did and he needs to be accepted and he was. Nothing could be better,Janu! Nicely written!
ReplyDeleteHank
I am not sure if I interpreted it correctly. But then isn't that the beauty of poetry? It means different things to different readers.
ReplyDeleteFrom my perspective what a beautiful way to describe falling in love.
Enticing Janu :P
