Sitting by the window
I let the wind
Caress my skin
Calm my nerves
My hair blowing and
Picking my eyes...
Or is it my emotions?
Breathing is shallow
I hyperventilate
Trying to gulp in more
Doesn't work.
Magic is everywhere
But, they fail to move me
Today...I am lazy
And brain dead
Mind cluttered
To quieten...
I try to unthink
This is nothing but a
Common psychosomatic condition
I know, yet
I let it grip me!!!

I did! Thanks Porshy.
DeleteYes, much better thanks.
ReplyDeleteouch...hopefully by writing it out you are already fidning your way up the walls to a better day..a better life...smiles....breathe
ReplyDeleteOh, awful when these moods strike and sometimes so hard to shake them off too. Glad you took some deep breaths and did manage to lift yourself up out of that rut :)
ReplyDeleteAh, sometimes 'unthinking' helps! Clearing the mind. And yes, the deep breaths are sometimes what one needs.
ReplyDeleteWe all have days where we feel like that! Sometimes it's hard to let go and unwind. Relaxing music, always helps!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, Janu, this describes some days I went through just recently - just feeling a bit down and not sure where the inspiration had gone. Fortunately, this little bout didn't last long.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully expressed!
When this happens to me, I just walk away and do something else ~
ReplyDeleteStill writing it out also helps bring it back ~
My dear Poetess,
ReplyDeleteWhen you are feeling this way...just think of my pretty face or your beloved SK (LOL)!! Seriously, you might have to start running again to feel better about yourself.
Hope all is well now. Glad that your situation moved you to string words together.
ReplyDeleteJoy always,
Susan
"I try to unthink"
ReplyDeleteboy, i know that feeling but it never works for me! {smile}
♥
Sometimes Janu, we just have to experience this to get our minds clear and ready for our next challenge in life ☺ Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMaybe even these feelings are telling you something more... what is it that keeps your heart most alive?
ReplyDeleteOh, I so relate to this! Not sure I'll ever entirely learn to unthink, but I'm definitely giving it a shot! Thanks so much for sharing this with us over at Poetry Jam.
ReplyDelete....but they fail to move me. It is funny that even a beautiful sunset or view can become "common place" (sounds like time for a vacation :)
