R V TALK'G???

 

Apples, Blackberries & Smart phones,
We have them all
The world today in our palm
Yet, we are so removed
And switched off from
One another
From communication
Where Silence is the void
Silence is that voice
That says 'let me be'
People have never been
So busy...as they pretend to be.

    People think technology is so great and such an advancement on our world, and while to some degree that may be true, but too many people are disconnecting themselves from reality and what matters most.

    It seemed far fetched before. Friends were physically around. Now they are still around but no where seen.

    Brain, Chrystal and Hank..we have become slaves of technology. Life has become so mechanical and fast that we connect only online only with like minded people.

    I so rely on my phone to save me from awkward supermarket meetings and small talk...I had never really considered it bad...until I read this. We are existing in a society of contradictions...on one hand we have never been more connected, then on the other, we have never been more alone. Thank goodness for poets and communities where we can actually engage and know there is a human on the other end. Beware the Poem-bot!

    That's all so true you mentioned here !
    People think their priorities are building up pretending to be busy..but the reality is they are making wide the range of differences even with their dear ones..

    But I love my smart phone...... true that it takes us away from each other..... sometimes I'd much rather be having a text conversation with someone 500 miles away instead of talking to the guy next to me..... sad, huh?

    Depicts the exact scenario we are living in. Always connected to technology and no proper connection to real people.

    But sometimes these smartphones itself act as the only means to stay in touch with our loved ones.
