BORN FREE?

Eyes almost human
Not its nature.
Feeling sorry, I
Extend my hands.
He doesn’t care anymore,
The King is a kitty
He doesn’t roar.
The once powerful muscles
Lax from non-kill,
Lean and gaunt
His majestic mane
Now a knot.
All he does
Is sit still and stare at
A land faraway, once
His home and birthplace.

  1. and this is why i don't like zoos... really, i end up feeling sad for all the animals... and yes..some had no chance to survive out in the wild and maybe the zoo cares well for them...and still..their eyes stare to that faraway place...and sometimes it may be better to die than to live imprisoned...ugh.. fine write

  4. yeah not a huge fan of zoos...we do have one that is a rehab place for animals that are injured and for those that can no longer take care of themselves...that is cool for me...
