dVerse Poets Pub - Open Link Night ~ Week 19.

LITTLE MISS PUPPET.

She flies high
Into the red sky
To welcome
The Emperor on
His golden chariot.

She dives down
To skim over
The pristine water
See her reflection
Marveling creation.

She flew into
The Garden of Eden
Saying ‘hello’
To every flower
Of every color.

She flew against
The wind
Grinned, as she
Felt it ruffled
Her feathers.

She sees the
Gate, golden
To open was forbidden
Curios, she was
Tries to push it
But, in vain.

Dreaming no more
Getting her bearings
A bird no more
But a Puppet
In his hands.

  1. smiles....a puppet me be willing to allow the one that holds the strings to lead them...they took you on a nice journey as well which alludes well to who holds yours...

  6. Part of me wishes that she went through the gate...out of reach of the puppeteer. What would have become of her? Perhaps she would have flown away...
This was so beautiful and whimsical, captivating my imagination, making anything seem possible!

  8. very beautifully written ... sometimes it gets confusing - as to whether the master is the boss or is it the puppet that takes over? :)

  10. I like your red sky and the surprise of Emperor, the grinning in the feeling of ruffling wind -- all unexpected pleasures. It's cool too that she is fine while in Eden, but that the golden gate serves as her apple of knowledge.
