POETRY PICNIC WEEK 13 - CHILDHOOD, DREAMS, BOOKS, ROLE MODELS

LOVE AFFAIR. (with books)
I take you to bed with me
You turn me on.
You lure me and charm me
With your words….
The sweet nothings and
Wisdom profound.
I feel you and
Run my fingers all over
Feeling your smoothness;
Drinking in your odor.
You awaken emotions myriad
Making me laugh
And cry sometimes,
Drowning me in the sentiments
Touching my deepest part.
Understanding my core,
We tango together,
You give me immense pleasure.
I reflect on your words,
Munch on it and
Toss it around my mind.
You inspire me,
You complement me…with you
I have a lifelong love affair.

  3. love affair with books,

    love it.
it reminds me of my childhood, when I read a book and my grandmother always had to remind me to go to dinner, and she would not let me do chores when I am with a book.
