The Gosseberry Garden has prompted us to write about Feathers, Fidelity, Figment and Fables.
Here's my imagination...
Here's my imagination...
JUST IMAGINE….
When the silvery-grey mist
Touches the Earth….
Will She shudder?
Feel the cold , have goose bumps?
Yearn for the warmth?
A hug from her lover?
The long, winding roads
Leading everywhere, nowhere
Yet somewhere…like a river
Having tributaries, do they
Know where they lead to?
Do they know one trail lead
To many others?
Fall brings in a riot of colours
Trees shed their leaves
Do they feel bare? Cold?
Naked? Or Exposed?
Do they feel like covering up,
Till they bloom again?
Does a caterpillar know,
That it will become a butterfly?
Does an egg know,
That it has a life within its shell?
Does the Earth weep or cry out
In pain every time when
Man keeps destroying Her at will?

We can see seasons change and the effects they have on people and the surroundings. The planet is ours to save and protect.Lovely poem Janaki.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful....good questions too. I really enjoyed this..thank you :)
ReplyDeleteValid and good questions... hoping you will find the answers as well and share them in your next post.

ReplyDeleteyou amaze me.
:)
Nice :) Loved this image.
ReplyDeletePowerful! Love the images you invoke with your words.
ReplyDeleteOh, Janu, I am so deeply moved by your words . . .
ReplyDeleteIn the way a caterpillar can know, it does; in the way the egg can shelter the promise of life, it does.
For God has given His blessing and meaning to all creation. Each creature, large and small, has a part to play. One that will never be forgotten by Him.
Thank you for sharing this exquisite poem!
Blessings, my dear!
we'll never know indeed, nice musings :)
