POE-A-TREE HOP: MAGNIFICENT MANDU

MAGNIFICENT MANDU.

I first heard about Mandu, when we visited our friends in Indore, Madhya Pradesh (Central India). My friend said that this was a beautiful place to visit and experience. What he said was partially true, because this was not just beautiful but magnificent.

We can just have a glimpse of a life of what could have been during that time and age.
I was struck by the engineering skills of the people of that time. The monuments are still standing proudly even after centuries, even after wars and invasions.

Mandu or Madhavgad is a ruined city in the Dhar district in the Malwa region of western Madhya Pradesh state, central India.

    It looks like an amazing place, I love going anywhere that has so much character, so much history that you can learn from. I also got a sense of something mysterious from reading and looking through your images.

    A masjid is a temple right? I also muse over the architectural schemes of places. It would be really wonderful travelling to your country and experiencing Mandu. From what most people here know, only the Taj Mahal is worth visiting.

    I'm so glad that you are opening my eyes to India's richness :)
