I am here, a constant
Some came in,
Some walked out,
Some walked all over….
Births, deaths;
Trials, tribulations;
Pain, joy….
I learned some
Then I didn’t
I grew and evolved;
What if’s,
But’s,
Should have,
Could have….
No use of these words,
Moving on
Looking forward to a
New day and a new beginning.

Well said ! Looking forward is the way!Wishing you a lot of happiness in the New Year!
ReplyDeletenicely expressed. moving on, moving forward is the key. hope the new year will bring you more creativity and success with your blog. ~Olive Tree
ReplyDeleteMoving forward and leaving the regrets behind . . .
ReplyDeleteHow coincidental is it that I just wrote a reflection on this very subject yesterday? Wow!
As always, love the ease and expression in your words, Janu!
Blessings!
Moving on is good yet takes time without a map :)
ReplyDeleteCheers A
One problem with gazing too frequently into the past is that we may turn around to find the future has run out on us...And I have done enough of that...Great post Janu..Wishing you a very happy new year.
ReplyDeleteA great thought for the New Year.
ReplyDeleteI wish I can write poetry. It's too scary.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's all about moving on...
Thank you for sharing.
Oh, so nice! You write so profusely yet so profound!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely...well said.
ReplyDeleteAll we can do is move on. In life we can't 'stop the train.' Nicely stated
ReplyDeletebest way to go, nothing you can do with the past but appreciate it or forget it...best wishes in the new year for you!
ReplyDeleteHow nicely written. I can feel the foot steps you are taking :)
ReplyDeleteWe can spend our whole lives looking back on the 'what ifs' and miss the whole future that could have been so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Well penned.
Excellent message (I agree!), and well penned!

It's a perfect bit of verse for the new year. Some came in and some walked out, indeed.
ReplyDeleteHappy TT and Happy New Year!!
Very well said. Indeed truthful. May you have a blessed 2012!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, move forward with joy and hope.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a true poem. Love that you write about how life is and what happens in our lifetimes. So many people come and go, some change our lives in ways we may not know but they all affect us if even with just a smile.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with what Brian said about how sometimes we need to forget things in our past. It can be a hard thing to do but it is a good thing to learn how. Good memories are the only things we should focus on. So hard, but it is a work in progress because bad memories can make us bitter.
Thank you so much for sharing your poem with this weeks Theme Thursday. A very nice addition.
Happy New Year!
God bless.
Wishing you a happy new year as you move on :)
ReplyDeleteGreat poem and Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteHello Janu.
ReplyDeleteHow right you are...everything around us changes, but we are the constant in whatever we do. We can never go back, but we can learn from the past & use it to grow & move forward.
Very nicely expressed.
Thanks for sharing. Nice to see you.
