REFLECTING ON THE HORIZON.

He stood there
Transfixed
Marveling and wondering
At creation.
His footprints
On the sand
As permanent as
The next wave.
Horizon blazing as it
Gobbles up the sun.
He chuckles
At this illusion...
Isn't life so? An illusion?
We live
We create
We destroy
We love
We give up
And let go
We run
We hide
We straighten ourselves
And walk with pride
We slog
We toil
And enjoy
We scream
We shout
And fight it out
We wear our scars
Like badges
The colourful reminders
Of our triumphs
And sacrifices
We learn
We seek
We unlearn
By just living
Through the motions
Only to meet
Death...
The journey in between....
An illusion.
