“All achievements,
all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea.”
9th day into the challenge, I am beginning to
lose the fizz. Yup, I was bubbling with enthusiasm when I started, now all I
can do is wonder – “What was I thinking?”
My mind goes blank reading the posts of others, and I try
to think and come up with an idea.
The other day, I asked my daughter – “What’s the word that
immediately comes to your mind when I say the alphabet ‘c’? – CAT! Came the
reply. “Mom, why are you stressing yourself? Just go by A for Apple, B for Ball
.....” Sigh! If only she knew that life was so easy.
So, what do I do? It’s my secret and I have a copyright of
my brain...Don’t steal my idea!!! I open up a dictionary and go through the
words and their meanings and see if I can come up with anything. Yes, anything!
Do I need to say this seldom works! Mmmmm...sometimes they do.
So, I sit in front of my PC and read the other posts by my
friends...I close my eyes and think. Slowly and stealthily an idea beings to
form and voila!

Clever one, Janaki. Good luck - keep going!
ReplyDeleteThank you Corinne.
DeleteYou are doing great! Even though I have a "theme" going, it can still be a little difficult from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI know...you are doing great yourself...thanks RoseAnn.
DeleteWell sometimes u need to stress a bit to come up wid dat good idea n they do occur!
ReplyDeleteGood going!!
I procrastinate at times...LOL>
DeleteI wouldn't be able to enter a challenge like that, so I think you are doing perfect
ReplyDeleteThanks Nikky.
DeleteYou and everyone participating in this are a lot braver than I am! I would be feeling the stress at this point for sure. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI will Martha...it just a passing phase. Thanks dear.
Deletenow the question is did this idea change your life :P
ReplyDeleteOf course Deep, it did.
DeleteDear Janu,
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing to myself...it seems I have the opposite problem...since you inspired me to take part in these challenges, I just can't stop writing! I use good old pen and paper to write my poems, which my Assistant then has to try to decipher and transfer onto the computer. I can't type and write...never have, never will. As a result, her "to do" pile just keeps getting bigger and bigger. She's already had a major meltdown trying to keep up with me! We're in this together, you'll be ok. ♥
Dear Andy,
DeleteI am as fortunate as you to have a secretary....so, I too write down in my journal(same pinch), type and then post it...double the work. But, I enjoy doing it.
Thanks.
I really enjoyed that. Funny how ideas sometimes are void of our mind, and other times we are flooded so fast we can't keep up with them. Great post!!
