RAIN ON ME.

The dark clouds are rolling in
Oh! I wish they rain on me
The clear blue sky get me
I just wish it rains on me.

The winds rake up gust
Carrying dried leaves and dust
I want it to carry me
Oh! How I wish it rains on me

Birds flying back to the safety
People scurrying back home
A flurry of activity around me
I wish it to rain on me.

There's something pure
Some magic
Romance and pathos
A rhytmn when it pours
I wish it keeps on raining on me.

  1. My precious Janaki,
After reading your poem I couldn't help but think of Raj Kapoor and Nargis in the rain singing a duet by Lata and Manna Dey. I would love to do this duet with you in the near future (LOL)!!! In any case....you are a talented and beautiful friend of mine.

    2. My dear Janu,
I know you can dance like Rekha, but I must warn you, I have more rhythm in my hips than Amitabh, so get your dancing legs better...I'm on my way! LOL ♥

  2. The rain truly is magical - and romantic. It is so nice to see someone looking beyond the "Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down..." mentality!

I hope it rains today. I hope it pours.

  8. Where's the rain party? I looove rain! If you've ever been in a rainy tropical forest, you would know how beautiful its melody can truly be! And the scent of freshly-wet earth is intoxicating!

  10. Oh I love this, I love the rain. Being in the NorthWest of the US I had better...lol, I have a saying "if you wait for it to quit raining , you will never get anything done." I also tell people often that I splash in puddles...Rain is cleansing for the earth and for me. Great lyrics, now just set it to a tune and sing it for us....
